Bill Clinton Quotes
We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.”
The truth of it is, the first rudiments of education are given very indiscreetly by most parents”
As every parent knows, a good education is a gift that keeps on giving for a lifetime.”
Allen Greenspan Quotes
To succeed, you will soon learn, as I did, the importance of a solid foundation in the basics of education - literacy, both verbal and numerical, and communication skills.”
“If we delay, the adjustments could be abrupt and painful,”

Hillary Clinton Quotes
“What we have to do... is to find a way to celebrate our diversity and debate our differences without fracturing our communities.”
“Probably my worst quality is that I get very passionate about what I think is right.”
“All of us have to recognize that we owe our children more than we have been giving them.”
“To me it's a failure every time we keep a child
in foster care for that child's entire life. You know, there should be a
decision made to either re-unite a child by helping a family get back on its
feet and take care of its children or we should remove the child and try to find
a good loving home with the foster care system but much more importantly, trying
to find a permanent home, ”

Personal Childhood Web
My parents-My parents are my biggest supporters and only being my husband today. They were always there and very hands on parents. They worked opposite shifts for much of my childhood so we were typically always home with one of them. When they got divorced they were still both very hands on and actively involved in our lives. Now I am in my 30’s and they are still there, supporting me in the decisions I make regarding my family, personal life, education, and everything I do. I don’t know where I would be without them.
My grandmothers-These were two of the most special women I have ever met. They both helped me learn how to cook. I must say I am a great cook and I credit them mostly and a little from my dad. However my dad learned it from my grandma! We spent a great deal of time when we were little with both sets of my grandparents. They all helped teach us life skills and many other important lessons.
My best friends mom-She was there as a second mom for many years. She was there when I was having a very difficult time with my parents divorce, always there to talk, helped me thorough many issues I had. She kept me in line when I was getting a little crazy, and was just always there.
My Brother- He was always there for me when I needed him. We fought quite a bit growing up but he was always there to look out for his little sister. I used to follow him everywhere and I am sure he hated it, but I looked up to him.

Creative Minds of Wonder
We have a center that is partnered with The Ohio State University. They are very Reggio inspired and I love visiting this center. I was there two weeks ago and took some pictures. I wanted to share.
This is probably my favorite one. The use of extra materials and collections is incredible. I love how they put it together.
This classroom took a walk around the neighborhood and decided to recreate it. They used their camera to take pictures of the houses and buildings and then made the entire blocks surrounding their center. Some are photos on cereal boxes, some are boxes made to look like houses. I feel this helps really create a sence of community between the center and those who live in the neighborhood.
I have a passion for process vs product. I am trying to get many of my "well seasoned" teachers on board with more process than product. It is a difficult task but I am succeeding. I chose this picture becasue I believe it is a perfect example of process art. I love the bright colors on the black background.
A great example of chidlrens work being used to help create a print rich environment.
First Experiences Matter
Every child has a first experience. When it is finding their first frog it can be one of the most interesting to watch a child's reaction. This is my daughter who will be three in two weeks. She found the frog while playing outside and wanted to hold it. She held it for a minute and then started cracking up as it jumped out of her hands. So her daddy picked it up but she didn't want to hold it again, he had to. Just the look of curiosity on her face is priceless. She was so interested and curious we talked about frogs for a while.
Do NOT turn that page!
This was my favorite book as a child. I made my mom read it to me every night, on many occasions multiple times. She did the voices and I remember cracking up while she was reading it. She bought it for me when I had my daughter and it is now becoming one of her favorites as well.
